Trading Resources

Below are Rick’s recommended resources and tools to help you in learning and building your trading business.  Rick only recommends through his integrity what he has personally used, knows or assessed so he can pass these recommendations on to you.  This will help you to shorten your research time and accelerate your implementation.  As always, it is your choice to evaluate the resource and determine if it is right for you.

Please note that some of the recommendations provided below are free resources and others, where applicable, may be resources represented through our affiliate link.  We want to be very up front with you on this as this means we will get an affiliate referral commission from the referred resource should you make a purchase through our affiliate link.  Again it is your choice to do so and there is no additional cost passed on to you in the process.

This is a great online charting website.  It has real time data and a long list of indicators that you can apply to the charts.  The charts can be customized to fit your needs and style.  If you sign-up for a free account with the website you can build a portfolio to watch your list of stocks easily.

This is a great screen capture tool.  It can take a snapshot of anything from your entire screen to a scrolling web page.  Rick uses this tool just about every day.  The Snagit Editor is one of the most user friendly programs that he  has come across.  Almost all of the graphics Rick uses in his presentations and maunals have been created with this program.

When it comes to technology today and working online, security and virus protection are a MUST!  Especially when you are trading stock online, this only increases the need for your protection.  In the past Rick has recommended free solutions and these will still work for you.  However, due to the sophistication of today’s security breaches and the fact that you will be working with financial information that requires the utmost security and virus protection, Rick has extended his recommendations to the following:

Norton AntiVirus

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

Avira AntiVir Personal – Free Antivirus

Avast Free Antivirus

ESET NOD32 Antivirus

Spyware, adware, or malware are programs that are similar to viruses but intend to steal information or display ads rather than damage the computer and/or damage files.  It is safe to run multiple anti-spyware programs.

This is a must have program for protection against spyware.  It has removed spyware that some other programs wouldn’t even detect.

This is a great program that detects most spyware.  It has a great proactive scanner.
