Anti-Virus Programs

Anti-Virus is a must on any computer that is connected to the web. Stock Trading only increases the need for this software. Below I listed 3 free solutions. (Make sure you uninstall any anti-virus programs on your computer before installing one of the ones below. Serious computer issues can result from the use of multiple anti-virus programs.)

AVG:
http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage

This is a good program, uses limited resources and protects against most threats.

Avira:
http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus

This is the program we currently use at our office. It does display an advertisement when it updates, but it seems to do and excellent job of protecting the PC.

Avast:
http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

This program likely has the best protection of the three, but can be resource intensive on older machines.
